Kattebak makes litter, boxes and hygiene products that control odour, cut scatter and make daily cat care effortless.
Four questions, one recommended setup, an honest monthly estimate.
Fast absorption, tight clumps and a carbon filter in the hood. The room smells like a room, not like a cat lives in it.
Heavier granules and a catch mat at the exit keep litter in the tray instead of under your bare feet at 6am.
Wide floors and low steps for the cat. Quiet shapes and calm colours so the box does not shout across your living room.
Choose a rhythm, get the same litter on schedule, and skip or pause whenever the cupboard is already full.

Answer four quick questions and we will put together a box and litter combination with an estimated monthly subscription. Sample data, illustrative pricing, no account needed.
Your recommended setup
We will suggest a box and litter combination and estimate what a subscription would cost each month. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay.
How it works
01
Four questions: how many cats, what sort of home, which litter you prefer and what is annoying you most about the current setup.
02
We suggest a tray count, a box style and a litter, and explain why each choice follows from your answers rather than from a sales target.
03
Pick every four, six or eight weeks. The estimate updates as you change it, so you can see what the habit actually costs.
04
A new kitten, a house move, an older cat who needs a lower step. Change the plan and the next delivery follows the new one.

The science of odour control
Odour is a moisture problem before it is an air problem. Step through the diagram to see where each part of the setup does its work.
Ammonia smell comes from liquid breaking down. Our granules pull that liquid in within seconds, so there is far less free moisture sitting in the tray.
Simplified illustration of how absorbent litter and a filtered hood work together. Not a laboratory measurement.
Illustrative
Kattebak is a concept brand, so these are illustrative situations rather than real customers — they show how the range is meant to fit together.
The tray lives in the bathroom because there is nowhere else. A hooded box with a filter and a low-dust litter keeps the whole flat liveable.
Four trays in three rooms, a heavier clumping litter and a mat at each exit. Scooping becomes a two minute job rather than a weekend one.
Arthritic hips make a high step a real obstacle. An open tray with an eight centimetre entry and soft plant fibre litter is kinder underfoot.
About the name
Historical Dutch kattebak refers to a cat's toilet. Modern Dutch spells it kattenbak, with the extra n, and that is the word you will see on a bag of litter in a Dutch supermarket today.
We kept the older spelling because it is shorter, easier to say in English and carries a bit of the plain-spoken practicality we wanted for the brand. A box for a cat. Nothing more complicated than that.
